Steel-Enforced Web Rope on All Playground Structures

While most commercial playground equipment manufacturers rely mainly on nylon-core ropes, Climbinet’s playground structures are built exclusively with steel-enforced web ropes. While boosting the bounciness and the play value, the major benefits of the use of steel-enforced web ropes are high durability, robustness and increased playground safety. Climbinet now offers one of the strongest, safest, and most durable commercial playground equipment playground structures in the industry.
- Climbinet’s steel-core ropes ensure ropes stay taut longer, reducing maintenance time and cost and increasing play value. Rope with a nylon core – found on most other commercial playground equipment - stretches out quickly and loses its bounciness, requiring constant tightening and maintenance.
- By using only steel-core ropes on all its playground structures, Climbinet’s web rope offers four times the capacity load of nylon-core rope, which means ropes won’t stretch or sag, causing premature wear.
- While most commercial playground equipment manufacturers use 16 mm diameter cable, Climbinet’s specially crafted 20 mm diameter cable allows for a more comfortable and accessible grip, as well as safer fall protection.
One-Piece Connector Joint for Better Playground Safety
Climbinet playground structures use a specifically designed connector joint with no splice: a safer and more robust alternative in two key ways:
- First, it creates a more durable joint, that will stay intact longer and not wear down to expose dangerous sharp edges.
- Second, by securing the joint in place, the design of the connector joint reduces the risk of constant fracture or even a break.
Additional Playground Structure Features
- A unique, plastic covered turnbuckle fitted with self-locking and counter nuts keeps ropes taut without sacrificing range of motion, which reduces maintenance and enhances play time.
- Climbinet commercial playground equipment play structures are all installed with a 6-strand steel security cable embedded into its concrete foundations, which reduces the risk of a serious playground equipment malfunction.
- In the highly unlikely event that both the turnbuckle and the steel security cable break, the 4 ½” by ¼” wall central post with ½” thick base plate ensures the structure will stay upright, keeping playground safety maximized, even in a worst-case-scenario. See Diagram 2 for all the information.
